If you’ve been thrilled with Germany’s World Cup win in Brazil this summer and if you like exklusive coffee-table books I have an amazing book recommendation for you.
I’m a big fan of Paul Ripke‘s work and his down to earth approach to photography. This week Paul announced his limited book edition named “One Night in Rio” – the night when Germany won the FIFA World Cup in Rio de Janeiro. I have no clue how he managed it but he was able to accompany the national team during the preparation for the World Cup and also during Germany’s historical win at Maracana stadium and even during all the celebrations from Angela Merkel’s visit at the cabin to the festivities in Berlin. This 99,95 € limited edition 408-page book with golden embossing and gilt edge promises exklusive, high quality and never before seen images. It’s divided in three parts: a) portraits of the 27 players b) reportage section named “from Rio to Berlin” and c) player portraits with the trophy.
Having seen a very quick and brief preview of the images at one of Paul’s recent book projects I’m sure this is a great investment if you’re into photography books and Germany’s National Team. I for one already ordered my copy and can’t wait to get it. But go see yourself and follow this link.
